New Prospective Volunteer Training--Response Crisis Center
The Response Crisis Center will be holding a NEW PROSPECTIVE VOLUNTEER TRAINING, to recruit new crisis counselors for our 24/7 Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Hotline. They are offering a free training program to those interested in becoming a caring voice on the other end of the phone. The training will take place two consecutive weekends; September 22 & 23 and 29 & 30, 2018. The sessions will run from 9:30a.m-4:30p.m. each day. Trainees must attend all four sessions. College Credit is available. Bilingual volunteers are especially needed. No experience is necessary, only a sincere willingness to learn and grow. The ability to make a one year commitment of four hours a week is required. Training includes lectures, role-playing exercises, and private and group supervision.
