Covid-19 Case Update June 11, 2021 3:30pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on June 11, 2021. Last updated June 10, 2021

COVID-19 Vaccine Information - As of June 11, 2021  

  • 842,737 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 2,746
  • 56.9% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
  • 69.4% of the population ages 18+ has received at least one dose  
  • 738,825 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 4,823
  • 49.8% percent of the total population of 1,481,093 have completed their vaccine series
  • Demographics can be found on the NYSDOH vaccine tracker
  • 1,047,020 was the weekly allocation of COVID-19 vaccine first doses fully delivered to New York providers during the week 5/31-6/6.
  • Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering vaccine to residents who are age 12 and older. No appointment is needed. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms.   • If you are confined to your home and wish to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, call 311. We will take your name and you will be called to schedule your free vaccination at home.

COVID-19 Viral Testing- On June 10, 2021

  • 9,530 COVID-19 tests were administered
  • 4,234,705 total tests have been administered since March 2020
  • 37 new cases were reported
  • 200,895 total cases have been reported since March 2020
  • 4.7% of those tested since March 2021 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 0.4% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 0.4% positive on a 7-day average
  • 0.4% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 0.4% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing Suffolk County

  • 58,829 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
  • 379,969 total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  • 1 fatalities
  • 3,399 total fatalities

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from June 10, 2021

  • 63 individuals were hospitalized, an increase of 2 in 24 hours
  • 11 were new admissions
  • 19 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 1 in 24 hours
  • 10 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 7 were discharged since the last report
  • 14,643 have been discharged since March 22,2020

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

  • 3,101 hospital beds, 727 available, 23%
  • 407 ICU beds, 121 available, 30%
