Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on September 12, 2021. Last updated September 11, 2021

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

  •        1,022,264 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 1,957
  •        914,678  people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 1,879
  •        69.0% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
  •        82.2% of the population ages 18+ has received at least one dose
  •        61.7% percent of the total population has completed the vaccine series
  •        74.5% of the population ages 18+ has completed the vaccine series, as of September 11, 2021

  •        Vaccination rates by zip code
  •        Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering vaccine to residents who are age 12 and older. No appointment is needed. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms.   •        4,965,066 total tests have been administered since March 2020
  •        520 new cases were reported
  •        222,776 total cases have been reported since March 2020
  •        4.5% of those tested since March 2021 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  •        4.2% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 4.6% positive on a 7-day average
  •        3.9% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 4.2% positive on a 7-day average

  •        COVID Antibodies: 78,080 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies; 404, 483  total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  •         3 fatalities
  •        3,490 total fatalities since March 2020

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from September 11, 2021

  •        251 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of  9 in 24 hours
  •        32 were new admissions
  •        39 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU),  a decrease of 4  in 24 hours
  •        20 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  •        38 were discharged since the last report
  •        15,807  have been discharged since March 22, 2020
