In accordance with the New York
State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Suffolk County will convene public
hearings concerning the Suffolk County Subwatersheds Wastewater Plan,
specifically the development of a Draft Generic Environmental Impact
Statement.
The plan -- a Suffolk County
Reclaim Our Water and Long Island Nitrogen Action Plan initiative --will
provide evaluations and recommendations toward the development of a countywide
wastewater management program to reduce nitrogen loading from wastewater
sources.
There will be two hearings:

Pursuant to the Citizens Public
Participation Act, all citizens are invited to submit testimony, either orally
or in writing, at the meeting. Written
comments are requested and will be accepted prior to the meeting and until the
close of business December 13, 2016.
