Covid-19 Case Update July 5, 2021 6:45pm

 
Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on July 5, 2021. Last updated July 4, 2021
COVID-19 Vaccine Information - As of July 5, 2021  
•    885,372 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 481
•    59.8% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
•    72.4% of the population ages 18+ has received at least one dose  
•    809,408 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 474
•    54.6% percent of the total population has completed the COVID-19 vaccine series

•    Vaccination rates by zip code
•    Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering vaccine to residents who are age 12 and older. No appointment is needed. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms. Answers to your vaccine questions can be found on this page, as well.
•    If you are confined to your home and wish to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, call 311. We will take your name and you will be called to schedule your free vaccination at home.
COVID-19 Viral Testing- On July 4, 2021
•    3,870 COVID-19 tests were administered
•    4,390,150 total tests have been administered since March 2020
•    25 new cases were reported
•    201,580 total cases have been reported since March 2020
•    4.6% of those tested since March 2021 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
•    0.6% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 0.5% positive on a 7-day average
•    0.7% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 0.5% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing Suffolk County
•    63, 131 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
•    385,601 total were tested for antibodies
Fatalities, Suffolk County 
•    1 fatalities
•    3,407 total fatalities
Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from July 4, 2021
•    31 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 2 in 24 hours
•    3 new admissions
•    4  patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 2 in 24 hours
•    3 patients were in the ICU and intubated
•    4 discharged since the last report
•    14,791 have been discharged since March 22,2020
Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County
•    3,101 hospital beds, 850 available, 27%
•    394 ICU beds, 128 available, 32%

Current New York State Travel Advisory Information
As of June 25, 2021, the New York State Travel Advisory is no longer in effect.  As such, travelers arriving in New York are no longer required to submit traveler health forms. All travelers, domestic and international, should continue to follow all CDC travel requirements.
