The Peconic Estuary Program’s Policy Committee will meet on:

1:30 pm
The Dennison Building
100 Veterans Memorial Highway

The PEP is an innovative partnership of federal, state and local governments, citizen and environmental groups, businesses, industries and academic institutions. The Peconic Estuary Program’s priority topics of concern include: Brown Tide, nutrients, habitat and living resources, pathogens, toxic pollutants and critical lands protection. Its aim is to promote the health of the estuary and to protect and restore the environmental quality of this extraordinary natural resource.
The Policy Committee consists of representatives from the US EPA, NYS DEC, Suffolk County, and Local Government. This committee approves PEP’s annual workplan and budget, approves action plans and the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan, and resolves policy issues, including those identified by the Management Committee.
For security reasons, I will need a list of attendees in advance, so please notify me by close of business May 31st if you plan to attend. Room number and an agenda will be available shortly.
