COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - January 13, 2022

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on January 13, 2022. Last updated January 12, 2022

COVID-19 Vaccine Information, carried over from January 11

  • 1,176,064 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 1,723
  • 1,057,359 people is fully vaccinated, an increase of 1,228
  • 79.4% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose.
  • 92.1% of the population ages 18 and older has received at least one dose.
  • 71.3% percent of the total population is fully vaccinated.
  • 83.9% of the population ages 18 and older is fully vaccinated.
  • 76.2% of the population ages 5 and older is fully vaccinated.
  • 35.9% of fully vaccinated population have had a booster dose

  • Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering COVID vaccines to Suffolk County residents who are age 5 and older as well as booster doses to all who are eligible. Appointments are recommended. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms.   • 12 fatalities:
  • 3,974 fatalities since March 2020

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, January 12, 2022

  • 1009 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 32 in 24 hours
  • 144 were new admissions
  • 122 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 10 in 24 hours
  • 72 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 181 were discharged since the last report
  • 20,230 have been discharged since March 22, 2020

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

  • 3,101 hospital beds, 651 available, 21%
  • 389 ICU beds, 77 available, 28%
