COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - January 25, 2022

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on January 25, 2022. Last updated January 24, 2022

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

  • 1,190,881 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 1,173.
  • 1,068,549 people is fully vaccinated, an increase of 863.
  • 80.4% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose.
  • 92.9% of the population ages 18 and older has received at least one dose.
  • 72.1% percent of the total population is fully vaccinated.
  • 84.5% of the population ages 18 and older is fully vaccinated.
  • 76.9% of the population ages 5 and older is fully vaccinated.
  • 40.0% of fully vaccinated population have had a booster dose.

  • Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering COVID vaccines to Suffolk County residents who are age 5 and older as well as booster doses to all who are eligible. Appointments are recommended. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms.   • 737 new cases were reported.
  • 49.8 cases per 100k; 91.0 on a 7-day average.

  • 11.0% tested positive in Suffolk County; 12.0% positive on a 7-day average.

Fatalities, Suffolk County, January 25, 2022

  • 19 fatalities:
  • 4,146 fatalities since March 2020

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, January 24, 2022

  • 717 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 12 in 24 hours.
  • 59 were new admissions.
  • 104 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 14  in 24 hours.
  • 71 patients were in the ICU and intubated.
  • 56 were discharged since the last report.
  • 21,678 have been discharged since March 22, 2020.

  • 3,101 hospital beds, 791 available, 26%
  • 403 ICU beds, 98  available, 22%
