Suffolk Proclaims April as Sarcoidosis Awareness Month

Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease that can affect any organ of the body. It appears most often in the lungs and the eyes, and sometimes the heart. It can show itself through a wide variety of symptoms, including swollen glands, sores, shortness of  breath, chronic fever, fatigue, and weight loss.
