Benjamin Beach Closed to Bathing

The Suffolk County Department of Health Services today closed Benjamin Beach in Bay Shore to bathing due to the finding of bacterial levels in excess of acceptable criteria. Copiague Harbor Beach in Copiague remains closed due to the finding of excess levels of bacteria. .

Tides Beach Open for Bathing

The Suffolk County Department of Health Services today lifted the bathing closure it had issued for Tides Beach in Rocky Point. Results of recent samples collected at Tides Beach show the water quality to be within acceptable levels.
