$16.50 per hour / paid bi-weekly

Schedule Schedule Full Time 35 hours weekly / One - 22 week assignment per calendar year / Available shifts; Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm or 8:30am - 4:30pm
Location Riverhead Center – 605 Old Country Rd, Riverhead, NY 11901
Smithtown Center – 200 Wireless Blvd, Hauppauge, NY 11788
South West Center – 2 South 2nd St, Deer Park NY 11729
Coram Center – 80 Middle Country Rd, Coram NY 11727
Qualifications

Applicant must have six (6) months of experience in a position that involves substantial public contact. Applicant must have graduated from a standard senior high school or possess a high school equivalency.
NOTE: Additional education beyond high school can be substituted for experience. Fifteen (15) credits equal six (6) months.

Responsibilities Assist Suffolk county residents with energy related assistance programs. Conduct in person and telephone interviews; determine eligibility for energy related benefits; Complete forms, organize files, input and retrieve data from computer programs; perform related duties as required.

Note Positions are available for one 22 week assignment per calendar year. Positions are filled on a continuous year round basis but may not be available at the time you apply. If you file an application and there are positions available at that time, you may be contacted for an interview. There are no benefits with these positions except eligibility for the NYS Retirement System.
