The following beaches are closed to bathing due to the finding of bacteria at levels in excess of acceptable criteria:
- Sound Beach POA East – Sound Beach
- Sound Beach POA West – Sound Beach
- Tides Beach POA – Rocky Point
- Beech Road Beach – Rocky Point
- Broadway Beach – Rocky Point
- Friendship Drive Beach – Rocky Point

Bayport Beach in Bayport, Sayville Marine Park Beach in Sayville, and Corey Beach in Blue Point remain closed. They will reopen when further testing reveals that the bacteria have subsided to acceptable levels.
