Public is invited to watch and discover the many benefits of the ancient and therapeutic art form
Suffolk County residents who have participated in Suffolk County’s Tai Chi for Arthritis workshop will gather in Bay Shore on Saturday, April 27, 2024, to celebrate World Tai Chi Day.
Based upon Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for Arthritis Program, Tai Chi for Arthritis is an evidence-based, low impact exercise designed to develop muscular strength, flexibility, reduce joint pain and promote a relaxed body, mind and sprit. Suffolk County offers the classes at no cost to residents throughout the year at local libraries and wellness centers.
The demonstration will take place Saturday, April 27 from 9:45 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Northwell building located at 1933 Union Boulevard, Bay Shore, just south of South Shore University Hospital.
People interested in watching the demonstration and learning about Tai Chi may call Linda at (631) 853- 3187.
Current Tai Chi for Arthritis classes are being held at 1933 Union Boulevard, Bay Shore on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4pm-5pm
