(Hauppauge, New York-September 25, 2012) Today, the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) launched the agency's first ever website at www.SuffolkIDA.org. The site will be an important tool in communicating the services the IDA offers to Suffolk's companies and to those looking to call the County home.
"We need to make sure our pro-economic development message is being delivered to the business community,” said County Executive Bellone. “Retaining our jobs and helping to create new ones is of the highest priority and this new website serves an avenue for local companies to learn about the IDA's incentives and read about the success stories.”
The website is fresh in design and feature filled. It has sections dedicated to companies looking to move to Suffolk, companies that are already here and looking to grow, success stories, a dynamic news wire page, online newsletters and an inquiry form for potential IDA projects.
The site also features the new “Boost” program targeted at growth companies in the Information Technology, Life & Biosciences, Green Technology and Energy Sectors. “Boost” assists smaller companies in utilizing IDA benefits to incentivize their local investment and development.
"Having an effective web presence is paramount when communicating with current and prospective Suffolk County companies,” said Anthony Manetta, Executive Director-Suffolk County IDA. “The site will have regular updates along with participation in social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.”
"The Suffolk IDA and the Department of Economic Development continues our synergy, now on the web, by highlighting our partnership along with the value added benefits that are available to companies,” states IDA Board Member and Commissioner of Economic Development Joanne Minieri.
The IDA also unveiled today a logo, collateral marketing kit including three brochures and a tag line, “Suffolk IDA: Where Suffolk County Means Business.”
"We created an aggressive time line to have top-flight deliverables designed. We accomplished that,” adds Manetta. "The IDA, for the first time, will have a comprehensive online presence, bolstered search engine optimization, and tools for companies, and referrers such as real estate brokers and commercial bankers to make their customers aware of our services.”
