Calling all Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Medical Residents! As a result of the opioid epidemic in New York State, increased access to buprenorphine treatment for opioid overdose disorder is urgently needed. Under current regulations, authorized practitioners are required to obtain a waiver to prescribe buprenorphine. Suffolk Health is sponsoring a Buprenorphine Waiver Training on Wednesday, August 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. You are welcome and highly encouraged to attend.
