COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - April 4, 2020, 2:30 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following confirmed cases and deaths due to COVID-19 through 2:30 p.m. on April 4, 2020

To date, more than 26,400 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an increase of approximately 2,400 from April 3.

  • The latest number of cases countywide and by town can be found here.
  • 1,416 patients are hospitalized (up 118 from April 3) 427 of those are in the intensive care unit (up 26 from April 3) 
  • 124 deaths (up 28 from April 3). 

Deaths reported on April 4 at 2:30 p.m. include:

  1.  A female in her 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  2.  A female in her 70s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  3.  A female in her 90s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  4.  A male in his 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  5.  A male in his 80s with unknown comorbidities who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  6.  A male in his 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  7.  A male in his 60s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  8.  A female in her 60s with underlying medical conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  9.  A female in her 90s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local nursing home  and rehabilitation facility
  10.  A female in her 80s with who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  11.  A male in his 60s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  12.  A female in her 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  13.  A male in his 70s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  14.  A male in his 80s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
  15.  A male in his 70s with underlying health conditions who was in mandatory isolation at a local hospital
