COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - July 15, 2020, 4:30 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on July 15, 2020. Last updated July 14, 2020

Total Persons Tested

  • 394,902 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 4,756 tests
  • 10.7 percent of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 1.2 percent of those tested on Long Island in the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19

Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 42,267 total cases
  • 53 new cases

Antibody Testing

  • 194,085 total tested for antibodies
  • 20,995 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies

Fatalities

  • 0 new fatalities
  • 1,993 total fatalities

Hospitalization, numbers from July 14, updated July 15 at 4:30 p.m.

  • 58 individuals were hospitalized, an increase of 10
  • 13 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), no change in the past 24-hour period
  • 9 new admissions
  • 4 discharged
  • 5,500 discharged since March 22

NY Forward Statewide Guidelines

Beginning on June 25, persons traveling to New York, New Jersey or Connecticut from any state that has an infection rate above 10 per 100,000 on the seven-day rolling average or 10 percent of the total population positive on a seven-day rolling average are  required to quarantine for 14-days. As of today, the states that are above that level include:
