COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - June 14, 2021, 4:30 p.m.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on June 14, 2021. Last updated June 13, 2021

COVID-19 Vaccine Information - As of June 14, 2021  

  • 846,552 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 729
  • 57.2% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
  • 69.6% of the population ages 18+ has received at least one dose  
  • 748,253 people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 2,013
  • 50.5% percent of the total population of 1,481,093 have completed their vaccine series
  • Demographics can be found on the NYSDOH vaccine tracker
  • 254,515 was the weekly allocation of COVID-19 vaccine first doses fully delivered to New York providers during the week 6/7-6/13
  • Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering vaccine to residents who are age 12 and older. No appointment is needed. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms.   • If you are confined to your home and wish to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, call 311. We will take your name and you will be called to schedule your free vaccination at home.

COVID-19 Viral Testing- On June 13, 2021

  • 4,384 COVID-19 tests were administered
  • 4,258,086 total tests have been administered since March 2020
  • 19 new cases were reported
  • 201,008 total cases have been reported since March 2020
  • 4.7% of those tested since March 2021 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 0.4% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 0.4% positive on a 7-day average
  • 0.5% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 0.4% positive on a 7-day average

Antibody Testing Suffolk County

  • 59,455 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
  • 380,808 total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  • 0 fatalities
  • 3,400 total fatalities

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from June 13, 2021

  • 61 individuals were hospitalized, no change in 24 hours
  • 4 were new admissions
  • 13 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), no change in 24 hours
  • 7 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 6 were discharged since the last report
  • 14,664 have been discharged since March 22,2020

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

  • 3,101 hospital beds, 831 available, 27%
  • 407 ICU beds, 146 available, 36%
