Covid-19 Case Update September 13, 2021 4:30pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on September 13, 2021. Last updated September 12, 2021

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

  •        1,023,758 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 1,494
  •        915,932  people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 1,254
  •        69.1% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
  •        82.3% of the population ages 18+ has received at least one dose
  •        61.8% percent of the total population has completed the vaccine series
  •        74.5% of the population ages 18+ has completed the vaccine series, as of September 11, 2021

  •        Vaccination rates by zip code
  •        Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering vaccine to residents who are age 12 and older. No appointment is needed. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms.   •        If you are confined to your home and wish to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, call 311. We will take your name and you will be called to schedule your free vaccination at home.

COVID-19 Case Tracker- On September 12, 2021

  •       6,325  COVID-19 tests were administered
  •        4,971,391 total tests have been administered since March 2020
  •        211 new cases were reported
  •        222,987 total cases have been reported since March 2020
  •        4.5% of those tested since March 2021 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  •        3.3% tested positive in Suffolk County yesterday; 4.5% positive on a 7-day average
  •        3.5% tested positive on Long Island yesterday; 4.1% positive on a 7-day average

  •        COVID Antibodies: 78,156 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies;  404,585  total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  •         2 fatalities
  •        3,492 total fatalities since March 2020

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from September 12, 2021

  •        233 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of  18  in 24 hours
  •        25 were new admissions
  •        42 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU),  an increase of  3 in 24 hours
  •        23 patients were in the ICU and intubated
  •        25 were discharged since the last report
  •        15,832  have been discharged since March 22, 2020

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

  •        3,136 hospital beds, 713  available, 23%
  •        395 ICU beds, 114 available, 29%
