Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone announced today that the Department Health Services’ Division of Emergency Medical Services will conduct a series of “Compression-Only” Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) classes. This one-hour class is free of charge and open to persons of all ages who are capable of compressing another person’s chest.

Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and Health Commissioner James Tomarken, MD, MPH, encourage all Suffolk County residents who smoke to sign up for Suffolk County’s Learn To Be…Tobacco Free smoking cessation program.  

The Suffolk County Department of Health Services’ Division of Environmental Quality will hold its regular monthly Board of Review hearing on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the conference room at 360 Yaphank Ave., Suite 2C, Yaphank, NY 11980.

Weather permitting; the Suffolk County Department of Public Works will treat sections of the following communities as part of their ongoing annual efforts to control adult mosquitoes.
