As stated in County Resolution 689, the Suffolk County Tick and Vector-Borne Diseases Task

Force was created to study the spread of tick and vector-borne related diseases and to develop a comprehensive needs assessment.      

The Division of Community Mental Hygiene has identified six experienced mental health agencies to participate in Project Hope, an initiative that is providing brief crisis counseling, outreach and education to residents in those communities that were hard hit by Super Storm Sandy.

The Suffolk County Department of Health Services’ Division of Environmental Quality will hold its regular monthly Board of Review hearing on Thursday, December 13^th, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. in the conference room at 360 Yaphank Ave., Suite 2C, Yaphank, NY 11980.

In the event that a quorum cannot be achieved, the Board of Health meeting will be canceled.  It is advisable to call 631-854-0100 the day of the meeting to find out if the meeting will take place.
