Covid-19 Case Update October 25, 2021 4:45pm

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on October 25, 2021. Last updated October 24, 2021

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

  • 1,081,129 people have received at least one vaccine dose, an increase of 442
  • 977,330  people have completed their vaccine series, an increase of 690
  • 73.0% of the total population of 1,481,093 has received at least one dose
  • 86.8% of the population ages 18+ has received at least one dose
  • 65.9% percent of the total population has completed the vaccine series
  • 79.4% of the population ages 18+ has completed the vaccine series.
  • 77.1% of the population ages 12+ has completed the vaccine series.

  • Vaccination rates by zip code
  • Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering vaccine to residents who are age 12 and older. No appointment is needed. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns. Click here for locations and times and parental consent forms.   • If you are confined to your home and wish to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, call 311. We will take your name and you will be called to schedule your free vaccination at home.

COVID-19 Case Tracker- On October 24, 2021

  • 8,520  COVID-19 tests were administered
  • 5,489,215  total tests have been administered since March 2020
  • 224  new cases were reported
  • 240,693 total cases have been reported since March 2020
  • 4.4% of those tested since March 2021 have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 2.6% tested positive in Suffolk County; 2.6% positive on a 7-day average
  • 2.3% tested positive on Long Island; 2.2% positive on a 7-day average

  • COVID Antibodies: 89,904 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies; 417,295 total were tested for antibodies

Fatalities, Suffolk County

  • 3 fatalities
  • 3,616 total fatalities since March 2020

Hospitalization, Suffolk County, data is from October 24, 2021

  • 150 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 6  in 24 hours
  • 15 were new admissions
  • 24 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) a decrease of 4 in 24 hours
  • 17  patients were in the ICU and intubated
  • 16  were discharged since the last report
  • 16,867 have been discharged since March 22, 2020

Hospital Capacity, Suffolk County

  • 3,101 hospital beds, 698 available, 23%
  • 402 ICU beds, 123 available, 31%
