NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information directly from the nearest National Weather Service office.

NWR broadcasts official Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

New York State’s All-Hazards Alert and Notification System

The New York State's All Hazards Alert and Notification System (NY-ALERT) allows you to receive emergency information such as major closures and severe weather events at home, work or on the go. You can choose to have the alerts sent to your e-mail, telephone, cell phone and other devices (personal and/or work).

SuffolkAlert is Suffolk County’s official emergency alert and notification system. This system is used to send alerts to the public during emergencies. SuffolkAlert is a free service that allows you to sign up online to receive customized alerts via text message, email, and voice message.

In addition to emergency alerts, you can also choose to receive customizable community notifications. These include may include notifications about severe weather, safety, health, utility disruptions, major traffic incidents, and more. This service is provided by the Suffolk County Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency Services at no cost to the public; however, message and data rates may apply.
