Community engagement is the foundation of all of the Division of Transit-Oriented and Downtown Development’s planning efforts. The Community Engagement team’s work includes extensive project participation and outreach to community groups, stakeholders and major employers throughout Suffolk County. The community engagement team works as a liaison for the Department to inform the public about regional economic development projects and gather input and feedback from stakeholders and communities to assure community needs and expectations are analyzed and included throughout the planning process.
