Ground Spraying of Mosquitoes Scheduled

If weather permits, the Suffolk County Department of Public Works will treat sections of Fire Island as part of its ongoing effort to control adult mosquitoes.

A mosquito sample has tested positive for West Nile virus. The sample,was collected on June 30, 2016 in Northport. This is the first mosquito sample to test positive for West Nile virus this year.
