Suffolk County Health Commissioner James L. Tomarken, MD, MPH, MBA, MSW, announced today that 5 more mosquito samples have tested positive for West Nile virus. The samples, all Culex pipiens-restuans, were collected September 16^th through September 18^th from Farmingville (1), Bay Shore (2), Aquebogue (1) and Bridgehampton (1). 

Suffolk County Commissioner of Health Services James Tomarken announced today that four cases of enterovirus-D68 (EV-D68) in Suffolk County have been confirmed by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). Dr. Tomarken asks that residents take precautions in order to contain the spread of the virus.
