Public Information Meeting — October 16, 2024

On October 16, at 7:00 pm, the Suffolk County Department of Public Works held a Public Information Meeting for the Corridor Study of County Road 39 at the Southampton High School Auditorium. Suffolk County presented potential transportation concepts including a reversible express lane, an elevated road, and a bypass.

Suffolk County Representatives stressed that public input will be critical in determining what the future of CR 39 and the surrounding communities looks like. They encouraged the public to provide input on the various concepts shown and any others that might be considered. Suggestions and comments should be sent to CR39Study@suffolkcountyny.gov.
