The Suffolk County "No-Spray" Registry lets residents opt out of mosquito control spraying (aerosol and fog treatments) on their property. This law, effective August 19, 2001, ensures your property and a 150-foot buffer around it are avoided during ground spraying. Please note, the registry does not include mosquito larval control or spraying during public health emergencies.
How It Works
- Register: Fill out the "No-Spray" request form and submit it to Suffolk County Vector Control.
- Click Here to View and Download the Form
Please Note: Form requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print. Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded for free HERE
- Processing: The County has 20 workdays to add your property to the list.
- Exclusions: Your property and a 150-foot buffer are excluded from ground spraying.
- Exceptions: Public health emergencies may require spraying all areas, including registered No-Spray properties. If an aerial application or public health spray for adult control is being undertaken, persons on the No-Spray list will be contacted the day before the event to advise them of the upcoming spray.
- Impact: Keep in mind that opting out may affect mosquito control in your neighborhood.
