- 7,928,898 total tests have been administered since March 2020.

- 36.1 cases per 100k; 41.1 on a 7-day average (includes reported PCR and antigen tests)
- 481,879 unique cases have been reported since March 2020.
- 8.9% tested positive in Suffolk County; 9.1% positive on a 7-day average.
- 9.3% tested positive on Long Island; 10.1% positive on a 7-day average.
- 7.3 reinfection rate per 100,000 on Long Island was reported for week ending July 5, 2022.

* Note: As of Monday, April 4, the federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) no longer requires testing facilities that use COVID-19 rapid antigen tests to report negative results. As a result, New York State's percent positive metric will be computed using only lab-reported PCR results. Positive antigen tests will still be reported to New York State and reporting of new daily cases and cases per 100k will continue to include both PCR and antigen tests. Due to this change and other factors, including changes in testing practices, the most reliable metric to measure virus impact on a community is the case per 100,000 data -- not percent positivity.

- 17 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a decrease of 1 in 24 hours.
- 7 patients were in the ICU and intubated.
- 45 were discharged. since the last report.
