Board of Review Hearings

The Suffolk County Department of Health Services’ Division of Environmental Quality will hold its regular monthly Board of Review hearing on Thursday, November 15th, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the conference room at 360 Yaphank Ave., Suite 2C, Yaphank, NY 11980.

The mission of the Division of Community Mental Hygiene Services is to enable persons with mental illness, developmental disabilities and substance abuse and their families to access an appropriate array of services and supports to maximize an individual’s potential within the family and community.

Suffolk County Immunization Advocate is Named New York State Nurse Practitioner of the Year

 

Mary Beth Kolsap-Petraco, DNP, PNP-BC, CPNP, Coordinator of Child Health Services in the Suffolk County Department of Health Services, was named “2012 Nurse Practitioner of the Year” by the New York State Nurse Practitioner Association at its annual award ceremony in Saratoga Springs last Friday.

Suffolk County Advises Parents to Get the Lead Out

To raise the public’s awareness of the consequences of childhood lead poisoning, the Suffolk County Department of Health Services will participate in National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week (NLPPW), October 21–27, 2012.
