A blizzard warning is in effect for Long Island. Weather conditions will deteriorate throughout the day today and continue into tomorrow afternoon. Concern for the safety and well-being of our residents requires that we recommend the following precautions:

The Marilyn Shellabarger South Brookhaven Family Health Center East, located at 550 Montauk Highway and Dorsett Place in Shirley, will be closed Sunday, February 10, 2013. The center will reopen on Monday, February 11^th and will resume its normal operating hours.

Suffolk County will join more than 300 national organizations that will promote programs in February calling attention to the impact of HIV and AIDS in the country’s African American communities and seeking solutions to halt the epidemic.
