Suffolk County Update 3:30 P.M.

The most updated county information and advisory from Suffolk County in the aftermath of Sandy.

MEETING OF SUFFOLK COUNTY PESTICIDE COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE CANCELED

Due to continuing problems associated with Hurricane Sandy and today’s storm, it has been decided to cancel the meeting of the Suffolk County Pesticide Community Advisory Committee scheduled for tomorrow, November 8th.  Notification of the rescheduled meeting will be forthcoming.

Here is an update with the latest information and advisories from Suffolk County in the aftermath of Sandy.

Community Mental Hygiene Advisory Board Subcommittee Meetings Canceled

Taking into consideration the continuing efforts being made to recover from Hurricane Sandy and the additional problems brought about by the gas shortage, it has been decided that it is advisable to cancel the following meetings:

 

Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Subcommittee – Wednesday, November 7th

Mental Health Subcommittee – Wednesday, November 7th

Alcohol and Substance Abuse Subcommittee Meeting – Thursday, November 8th

Suffolk County Update 7:00 PM

The Suffolk County Department of Health Services – working closely with the Suffolk County Department of Public Works, the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army – is in the process of consolidating shelters put in place across the county over the last week.
