Warning about Liquid Nicotine

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported that the number of calls to poison control centers involving e-cigarette liquids rose from one per month in Sept 2010 to 215 per month in Feb 2014.  More than half of the calls involved children under age 5.

Bellone Encourages Residents who Smoke: "Determine to be Tobacco Free on November 20th."

County Executive Steve Bellone and Health Commissioner James Tomarken, MD, MPH, MBA, MSW, encourage residents who smoke to join the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout next Thursday, November 20, by quitting or making a plan to quit smoking.
