County, Stony Brook Medicine Offer Assistance to Residents with Environmental Health Concerns Following Superstorm Sandy

Help is available to residents who are concerned about potential medical problems associated with their environment following Superstorm Sandy.  According to Commissioner of Health Services James Tomarken, Suffolk County and Stony Brook Medicine’s Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine have an ongoing relationship that enables health officials to effectively manage situations in which environmental contaminants are a concern. 

Suffolk County Tick and Vector-Borne Diseases Task Force

As stated in County Resolution 689, the Suffolk County Tick and Vector-Borne Diseases Task

Force was created to study the spread of tick and vector-borne related diseases and to develop a comprehensive needs assessment.
