Here are places to see professional fireworks displays this week in celebration of the Independence Day holiday:

Weather permitting; the Suffolk County Department of Public Works is planning to treat sections of the following communities as part of their ongoing annual efforts to control adult mosquitoes.

Tomarken, MD, MPH, MBA, MSW, Commissioner of the Suffolk County Department of Health Services, said today that the beach closure issued for Stony Brook Yacht Club Beach in Stony Brook, NY has been lifted, as results of recent samples collected show the water quality to be within acceptable levels.

)  Today, the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) adopted enhanced Uniform Tax Exempt Policy (UTEP) guidelines. This enhanced policy will assist Suffolk County in keeping and creating jobs on Long Island.  The real property tax relief provided for under UTEP assists commercial and industrial projects that are looking to begin operations in Suffolk County, relocate their business to Suffolk County or upgrade facilities. 

Today, County Executive Bellone was joined by members of the Long Island delegation to highlight and discus the successful state legislative agenda County Executive Bellone was able to secure during this session.
