Suffolk County is known for our vast, stunning beaches stretching along both the north and south shore. Our beaches are legendary for their beauty, great surfing conditions, sailing, fishing, and of course swimming. If you are in Suffolk County you don’t have to travel far to find yourself at one of our Park beaches that will suit your needs, whether you’re looking to ride the waves, hunt for seashells, or to wade in calmer waters. Our beaches offer a variety of amenities to visitors, such as swimming, picnic areas, camping sites, fishing, and more.
*Swimming is only permitted at lifeguarded beaches while Lifeguards on Duty.
*Outer beach camping is permitted at these locations with a self-contained camper only.
Dog Parks are available at the following Suffolk County Parks:
*Natural Borders Dog Park - dog park is not completely surrounded by chain link fence, but rather defined by natural boundaries such as water or large expanses of land.
*Location considered on a case by case basis, please contact Park Operations.
NYS Recreational Fishing Permits may be required. Please see our fishing page for additional information.
